Your wedding day should be a reflection of you and your fiancé. There are traditions that you can follow without having to sacrifice your personal style. Here are a few you can make your own!
1. Your attire: Ladies, you don’t have to wear white, you don’t even have to wear a dress if you don’t want to. Gentlemen, tux’s aren’t necessary. This is something you should decide together!
2. Your refreshments: Depending on your event, you don’t need to serve a whole meal. We are seeing a come back of cake and champagne receptions. If you would like to serve a meal, you don’t need to require your guests to check a box stating they want beef or chicken, serve pizza or a burger bar or tacos! Don’t care for alcohol, then serve mocktails!
3. Desserts: don’t like cake? No problem, serve pie or brownies or whatever your favorite sweet is, serve that. Don’t like sweets? Choose something you do like as a couple!
4. Decor: Don’t like flowers? Maybe you prefer fog machines and candle light! Maybe you met at a rave so neon lights and glow sticks are your jam, gone is the day of cookie cutter weddings.

A Diverse Playlist: Ensure your playlist includes a wide range of music genres and eras to cater to different tastes and age groups. You know your people the best, so play songs you think they would like, or better yet, ask them. You can make this simple by using your RSVP card and asking “What song will get you on the dance floor?” BOOM!đŖ Your play list is made for you!
Professional DJ or Live Band: A professional DJ or a live band can read the crowd, adjust the music accordingly, and engage with the guests to keep the energy high. A good DJ or band can also smoothly transition between songs, maintaining a continuous flow of music. A PLAYLIST WILL NOT CUT IT, YOU NEED A PROFESSIONAL!
Request and Dedication System: Make sure your DJ or band is open to taking requests and dedications. This will help them read the room!
Dance Floor Lighting and Decor: Create a fun atmosphere on the dance floor by using colorful and dynamic LED lights, disco balls, and glow sticks. You will even get grandma dancing to Cardi B with those foam light up sticks!
Dance Floor Timing: The time of day can really affect the dance floor. If you are near windows or outside, wait to open the dance floor until it is dark outside. Something about dancing in the day light (not around a pool) can really turn some people away from turning up.
â¨BONUS TIP⨠Play Mr. Brightside by @thekillers - you may not get dancing, but all your friends will rush to the dance floor to rage sing this together. Its an amazing phenomenon and honestly one of my favorites to witness at a wedding.

When you work with a wedding planner or wedding day professional, it is not a one sided relationship. It is a beautiful collaboration where we help you bring your dreams to reality.
One of the ways we do this is by assigning homework. While we have many meetings and conversations, there are a few things that you and your future spouse need to discuss and finalize, and those tasks take time as well as some outside influence.
We always ask our couples to have their homework completed and back to us at least 2 weeks before the big day so we can adjust the timeline and update vendors, make sure we understand every detail, and ensure we are prepped and ready to handle everything on wedding day. Can we adapt if we don’t receive this information on time, of course. But if we don’t receive this information until the day of, there is a possibility of details getting missed.

Here are some tips to make pulling this off, a piece of cake đ°
đ°when you book your baker, give them an estimate of how many tables you expect to have. You can always update this when your day gets closer.
đ°order enough cake or pie servers for each table. We chose these to match the metallic gold accents!
đ°don’t forget dessert forks and plates for everyone
đ°have your planner or coordinator game plan with the catering staff to get the plates, forks, and cake and server out to the guest tables right before cake cutting
đ°make sure your DJ gives instructions so no one gets lost!
đ°master level tip: coordinate your cakes to any dietary restrictions at the table. For example, table 3 gets the gluten free cake!

Want to make sure you have the best time in the morning with your besties? Follow these simple tips!
1. Staying hydrated is a must on wedding day. Hydration helps keep you looking and feeling your best (& will also help you the next day)
2. Let’s be honest HMUA are amazing at their job, but we can all get a little chatty. Also, a certain style may take longer than originally thought. Having a buffer here will only help keep you stress free!
3. There are so many moving pieces on wedding day and steamers can be a little temperamental. This is an easy one to do the day before and also allows the clothes to dry if the steamer got a little too rambunctious (I’m looking at you travel size steamers!)
4. If you plan to wear boots with your wedding dress, by all means wear socks, but if you’re not, opt for cozy slippers instead as socks will leave lines. Same with Bras, even sports bras will leave a mark so be aware of your dress neck line, that will tell you if you can wear a bra or not. On to the emotional support hair tie, she’s trusty and helps you out in a pinch, but she’s not needed on wedding day. Keep her in the emergency kitđ

We read recently that more than half of couples end up going over their proposed wedding budget so we thought we'd share three quick tips to make sure this doesn't happen to YOU đ
1. Set an IDEAL budget and a MAXIMUM budget. Your *ideal* should be 3-5% less than your *maximum.* Base your goals and parameters for costs on the ideal budget so that you have the cushion in your maximum budget - just in case unexpected expenses come up or you fall in love with a vendor/venue that's a little more than you planned.
2. Allocate 40% of your budget for venue, food, and beverage. If you are booking the venue separately from the catering, spend no more than 25% of your total budget on the venue. This IS how much room you will need for everything else, trust us!
3. Hire a wedding planner. Not only will a wedding planner guide you through the very best ways to allocate your budget, they also know the best vendors in the business within your price range!

If you hire childcare for your reception, their parents can relax and be fully present for all of the festivities.

The RING BEARERS y’all!

Make sure your wedding photographer and videographer get FED FIRST on your wedding day! They deserve it and, afterwards, they’ll be much more available for pictures when you need them!
Perfect for bridal showers, brunches, bachelorette weekends, and even your wedding - here’s ALL you need to recreate this charcuterie spread đ

For the charcuterie, I would say there are three basic rules for success!
1. Someone who has no other responsibilities is in charge. ESPECIALLY if this is happening at your wedding! Note, if you were doing this for your wedding, make sure the person in charge is not related to you and not needed for any family photos.
2. Do as much as possible the night before. Catered charcuterie table displays and grazing tables are actually just a bunch of individually created boards placed side-by-side with fluff in between to make it all blend together. The fluff can be greenery, breads, fruits, whatever you like! For most caterers, the boards are made in advance, transported, placed on the table, and then the filling is added. This will make it easy!
3. Keep it simple. This will make us both easier AND more cost-effective. Place everything on top of boards and/or craft paper.
Charcuterie for 50 people:
- 2 boxes of water crackers (or similar), 2 boxes of triscuits, 2 boxes of Club crackers
- 2 baguettes
- 1 bag pretzels or pretzel chips
- almonds any quantity
- 4-6 cheeses of your choosing. I like to make at least one of them Brie and at least one Gouda. Cheddar is always a safe bet. This a fancy one in there!
- 2 packages of salami
- 1-2 packages of summer sausage, sliced
- 1 container of roasted garlic hummus
- 2 bell peppers slices
- 1 bag of baby carrots
- 1 cucumber sliced
- celery hearts cut
- 1 green apple sliced
- 1 honeycrisp apple sliced
- 1-2 jars of olives, serving bowls
- gherkin pickles, serving bowls
- honey
- one sweet jam and one spicy jam
- knives, spoons, toothpicks, small plates, napkins

Your wedding day should be a reflection of you and your fiancé. There are traditions that you can follow without having to sacrifice your personal style. Here are a few you can make your own!
1. Your attire: Ladies, you don’t have to wear white, you don’t even have to wear a dress if you don’t want to. Gentlemen, tux’s aren’t necessary. This is something you should decide together!
2. Your refreshments: Depending on your event, you don’t need to serve a whole meal. We are seeing a come back of cake and champagne receptions. If you would like to serve a meal, you don’t need to require your guests to check a box stating they want beef or chicken, serve pizza or a burger bar or tacos! Don’t care for alcohol, then serve mocktails!
3. Desserts: don’t like cake? No problem, serve pie or brownies or whatever your favorite sweet is, serve that. Don’t like sweets? Choose something you do like as a couple!
4. Decor: Don’t like flowers? Maybe you prefer fog machines and candle light! Maybe you met at a rave so neon lights and glow sticks are your jam, gone is the day of cookie cutter weddings.

A Diverse Playlist: Ensure your playlist includes a wide range of music genres and eras to cater to different tastes and age groups. You know your people the best, so play songs you think they would like, or better yet, ask them. You can make this simple by using your RSVP card and asking “What song will get you on the dance floor?” BOOM!đŖ Your play list is made for you!
Professional DJ or Live Band: A professional DJ or a live band can read the crowd, adjust the music accordingly, and engage with the guests to keep the energy high. A good DJ or band can also smoothly transition between songs, maintaining a continuous flow of music. A PLAYLIST WILL NOT CUT IT, YOU NEED A PROFESSIONAL!
Request and Dedication System: Make sure your DJ or band is open to taking requests and dedications. This will help them read the room!
Dance Floor Lighting and Decor: Create a fun atmosphere on the dance floor by using colorful and dynamic LED lights, disco balls, and glow sticks. You will even get grandma dancing to Cardi B with those foam light up sticks!
Dance Floor Timing: The time of day can really affect the dance floor. If you are near windows or outside, wait to open the dance floor until it is dark outside. Something about dancing in the day light (not around a pool) can really turn some people away from turning up.
â¨BONUS TIP⨠Play Mr. Brightside by @thekillers - you may not get dancing, but all your friends will rush to the dance floor to rage sing this together. Its an amazing phenomenon and honestly one of my favorites to witness at a wedding.

When you work with a wedding planner or wedding day professional, it is not a one sided relationship. It is a beautiful collaboration where we help you bring your dreams to reality.
One of the ways we do this is by assigning homework. While we have many meetings and conversations, there are a few things that you and your future spouse need to discuss and finalize, and those tasks take time as well as some outside influence.
We always ask our couples to have their homework completed and back to us at least 2 weeks before the big day so we can adjust the timeline and update vendors, make sure we understand every detail, and ensure we are prepped and ready to handle everything on wedding day. Can we adapt if we don’t receive this information on time, of course. But if we don’t receive this information until the day of, there is a possibility of details getting missed.

Mini cakes! They are so fun and your guests love getting involved in the formalities of the day!
Here are some tips to make pulling this off, a piece of cake đ°
đ°when you book your baker, give them an estimate of how many tables you expect to have. You can always update this when your day gets closer.
đ°order enough cake or pie servers for each table. We chose these to match the metallic gold accents!
đ°don’t forget dessert forks and plates for everyone
đ°have your planner or coordinator game plan with the catering staff to get the plates, forks, and cake and server out to the guest tables right before cake cutting
đ°make sure your DJ gives instructions so no one gets lost!
đ°master level tip: coordinate your cakes to any dietary restrictions at the table. For example, table 3 gets the gluten free cake!
Cutting of the cake is a tried and true tradition and if you’re looking to spice it up, this is the way to do it!

Want to make sure you have the best time in the morning with your besties? Follow these simple tips!
1. Staying hydrated is a must on wedding day. Hydration helps keep you looking and feeling your best (& will also help you the next day)
2. Let’s be honest HMUA are amazing at their job, but we can all get a little chatty. Also, a certain style may take longer than originally thought. Having a buffer here will only help keep you stress free!
3. There are so many moving pieces on wedding day and steamers can be a little temperamental. This is an easy one to do the day before and also allows the clothes to dry if the steamer got a little too rambunctious (I’m looking at you travel size steamers!)
4. If you plan to wear boots with your wedding dress, by all means wear socks, but if you’re not, opt for cozy slippers instead as socks will leave lines. Same with Bras, even sports bras will leave a mark so be aware of your dress neck line, that will tell you if you can wear a bra or not. On to the emotional support hair tie, she’s trusty and helps you out in a pinch, but she’s not needed on wedding day. Keep her in the emergency kitđ
5. The only memories of wedding day should be good ones. Bask in the love of your closest friends and family and enjoy every second. There’s a reason you picked these special people to stand beside you.

We read recently that more than half of couples end up going over their proposed wedding budget so we thought we'd share three quick tips to make sure this doesn't happen to YOU đ
1. Set an IDEAL budget and a MAXIMUM budget. Your *ideal* should be 3-5% less than your *maximum.* Base your goals and parameters for costs on the ideal budget so that you have the cushion in your maximum budget - just in case unexpected expenses come up or you fall in love with a vendor/venue that's a little more than you planned.
2. Allocate 40% of your budget for venue, food, and beverage. If you are booking the venue separately from the catering, spend no more than 25% of your total budget on the venue. This IS how much room you will need for everything else, trust us!
3. Hire a wedding planner. Not only will a wedding planner guide you through the very best ways to allocate your budget, they also know the best vendors in the business within your price range!

1. Micro Weddings: since 2020, many couples have opted for smaller, more intimate weddings. And we LOVE it! This trend may continue into 2024, with couples focusing on creating meaningful experiences with a limited number of guests.
2. Destination Weddings: With a desire for unique experiences, couples may continue to choose destination weddings in picturesque locations that also offer the option of a multi day celebration.
3. Personalization: Couples are seeking to make their weddings more personal and reflective of their unique personalities. We are seeing this in customized vows, personalized signage, unique wedding favors, and interactive experiences for guests.
4. Non-traditional Wedding Attire: Traditional white wedding dresses are being replaced by more unconventional choices. Brides are opting for colored gowns, jumpsuits, separates, and unconventional styles that reflect their personal taste!

We actually work with several wedding venues that require childcare if your reception will have 10 or more children under the age of 10. This is because children under the age of 10 truly do need to be supervised at all times in an unfamiliar location with that much chaos going on!
If you hire childcare for your reception, their parents can relax and be fully present for all of the festivities.
We have had weddings with childcare for just a few hours and weddings with childcare literally the whole day! It’s up to you and whatever your family and guests of honor need đ

- have your planner/caterer set up a little snack and beverage for you in a secluded place (the bridal suite works great!)
- make sure your bridesmaids clear space for you in the suite and clean up any clutter or trash so you have a peaceful atmosphere
- take in every moment, you only get to do this once â¨

They have two senior dogs named Jane & Brawley. Her favorite meal is brunch and that is the meal she and her hubby shared at their wedding after sunrise first look photos âī¸ the most unique aspect of her wedding was a pool party. It was a perfect day!
On any beautiful, sunny day you might find her on a patio enjoying a spicy margarita or if it’s stormy outside, she’ll definitely be snuggled on the couch watching Harry Potter with a bowl of popcorn đŋ

DO NOT make this mistake with your wedding florals!
Some of y’all may have your heart set on a very specific flower for your wedding, which is fantastic! We love a bride, who knows what she wants!
At the same time, that also means you need to make sure this flower will be readily available around the time of your wedding.
If any emergencies arise around your wedding, it not only needs to be in season, it also needs to be readily available in your local area just in case your florist needs to make any last-minute purchases đ

The RING BEARERS y’all!
They’re cute but that’s literally their only job. Now, maybe if you have an *older* ring bearer who is standing up with the groomsmen at your wedding…HE might carry the rings. But that’s the exception, not the rule.
The Best Man almost always has BOTH wedding bands. Sometimes the Maid of Honor will carry the groom’s wedding band and the Best Man will carry the bride’s đ¤
This is a rare blessing, cherish it â¨

Make sure your wedding photographer and videographer get FED FIRST on your wedding day! They deserve it and, afterwards, they’ll be much more available for pictures when you need them!

For the charcuterie, I would say there are three basic rules for success!
1. Someone who has no other responsibilities is in charge. ESPECIALLY if this is happening at your wedding! Note, if you were doing this for your wedding, make sure the person in charge is not related to you and not needed for any family photos.
2. Do as much as possible the night before. Catered charcuterie table displays and grazing tables are actually just a bunch of individually created boards placed side-by-side with fluff in between to make it all blend together. The fluff can be greenery, breads, fruits, whatever you like! For most caterers, the boards are made in advance, transported, placed on the table, and then the filling is added. This will make it easy!
3. Keep it simple. This will make us both easier AND more cost-effective. Place everything on top of boards and/or craft paper.
Charcuterie for 50 people:
- 2 boxes of water crackers (or similar), 2 boxes of triscuits, 2 boxes of Club crackers
- 2 baguettes
- 1 bag pretzels or pretzel chips
- almonds any quantity
- 4-6 cheeses of your choosing. I like to make at least one of them Brie and at least one Gouda. Cheddar is always a safe bet. This a fancy one in there!
- 2 packages of salami
- 1-2 packages of summer sausage, sliced
- 1 container of roasted garlic hummus
- 2 bell peppers slices
- 1 bag of baby carrots
- 1 cucumber sliced
- celery hearts cut
- 1 green apple sliced
- 1 honeycrisp apple sliced
- 1-2 jars of olives, serving bowls
- gherkin pickles, serving bowls
- honey
- one sweet jam and one spicy jam
- knives, spoons, toothpicks, small plates, napkins

Whoever is supplying the music/sound system for your ceremony should have access to a wind guard for their ceremony microphones.
Check with your DJ, musicians, or venue and, if no one has one, get one on Amazon! So cheap and a total game changer.
